American Citizens Services (ACS) Appointment System
In order to provide the most efficient service for American citizens, U.S. Embassy Lusaka is pleased to announce that we have established an appointment system for all routine services. Scheduling appointments will reduce wait times for American citizens and will greatly improve our ability to be of service to you.
If you are planning to renew your child’s passport, add visa pages, file for a Report of Birth Abroad for your new baby or have documents notarized, please make an appointment online by clicking here for passport and report of birth services and here for notarials and all other services.
Emergency services will still be provided as needed without a pre-booked appointment. We do encourage you to arrive during ACS hours from 13:30 to 15:30 Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and from 8:00 to 10:00 Fridays if possible. For urgent travel needs when no appointment is available, please call the Consular Section at 0211-250-955-2234 during our telephone operating hours between 14:00-16:00 Monday-Thursday or Fridays from 8:00-11:00, or email us at consularlusaka@state.gov.
You are encouraged to complete your passport application forms online. Please print your forms and bring them with you to the Embassy along with your 2”x2” (5cm x 5cm) photos, if required. Do not sign your forms prior to your appointment.
