Study in the U.S.
Do you qualify to study in America?
There are nearly 5,000 colleges and universities in the United States. Some colleges and universities are of very high caliber and have competitive admissions, while others are less rigorous. Many Zambians may be able to secure a position at these schools but there are other factors to consider, mainly finances.
As in Zambia, universities in the U.S. will expect you to have completed at least twelve years of school, graduating with a secondary degree. If your grades are poor or if it is unlikely you could be accepted to a college in Zambia, you may have an equally difficult time being accepted in the U.S. Generally, schools are looking for a solid academic background, including English proficiency. They are also looking for adequate finances to fund your U.S. education, as well as a plan as to how you will do it.
