Filing the (I-130) Petitions:
For Spouses, Minor Children and Parents of United States Citizen

American citizens who are resident in Zambia, U.S. service members, emergency cases involving life and death or health and safety considerations, and others determined to be in the national interest can file an I-130 petition with the Embassy in Lusaka.  American citizens who are unsure whether their case meets these criteria should contact the consular section during public inquiry hours.
