Notice to Congolese applicants:
The Embassy of the United States informs all visa applicants that US Embassy Kinshasa has received a Diplomatic Note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic Republic of Congo stating that old Congolese passports (both non-biometric and semi-biometric) will no longer be accepted from December 31, 2009.
Considering that for entry in the United States the traveler must have a passport valid for at least six months, the Embassy of the United States will no longer accept old Congolese passports (both non biometric or semi-biometric), effective Thursday, November 19, 2009.

Hand filled DS-156 forms cannot be accepted. Be sure to answer each question, marking those that do not apply appropriately. All forms must be filled out in English

Please complete the forms and press “Continue” at the bottom of the page before printing. Make sure that the third page, containing the barcode, has printed correctly before exiting the screen. See the sample barcodes at the right.
