Entry/Exit Requirements
US citizens are required to have a visa to enter Zambia. Tourists and business visitors can obtain a multiple entry visa at the port of entry or by contacting a Zambian Embassy or Consulate in advance. Please refer to Country Specific Information for up-to-date information about visa fees. In general, Zambian Immigration officials authorize an initial period of stay in Zambia of 30 days. The period of stay can be extended for an additional 30 days—up to 90 days—at any Zambian Immigration office. Periods of stay beyond 90 days require an additional immigration permit and the payment of a fee.
