American Olympic Athletes Visit USG Project in Zambia

American Olympic gold medalists Joey Cheek and Jenny Thompson visited Zambia on a private visit April 10-15 to see projects associated with Right to Play, a non-governmental organization focused on sport and recreation opportunities for disadvantaged children. During their visit, the Olympians also toured a U.S. government sponsored site, the New Start Voluntary Counseling and Testing Center, which is supported through funds from the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief.
